Figures

I've always found figure painting interesting because of the anatomy and the physicality. My senior show in college was called "Physical" and featured athletes, dancers and other bodies in motion. Figure painting gives you a good foundation for illustration work, demonstrated by the fact that most of the great illustrators were also great figure painters.
